Rad Race last wo/man standing at Berliner FahrradschauMarch 16 | Race · Story | No Comments on Rad Race last wo/man standing at Berliner Fahrradschau
We started March with a busy weekend. With the Rad Race last wo/man standing a great race day was on. As part of Berliner Fahrradschau with many different events, races and rides a lot of people, we love to hang out, made it to Berlin. Our main focus however focus was this incredible fixed gear race on a indoor go-kart track.
The very technical course as well as the huge crowd along the track make this race definitely a special one! The tight turns on the course require a low gear ratio and a big portion of bike handling skills!
Both proven by Robert and Silja who showed an excellent performance in a strong starter field. It’s the fourth year in a row our friends from Rad Race did put up the last wo/man standing and it’s growing attraction and reputation year by year. So that Red Hook champions and big names from the fixed gear racing scene from all over the world came this year to participate.
In the end Silja finished with an amazing 5th place in the women’s finals and Robert made it all the way to the semi finals in the men’s race!Less succesfull were Johannes and Rolf who got eliminated in the early rounds. Still an outstanding fixed gear race afterall by the Rad Race crew and we are so happy to part of it for the third year in row now and seeing it growing!
